you’re not alone, as most of us have some form of anxiety or another. Maybe you’re just a worrier or perhaps you have a stress-filled job, but it seems as if anxiety is just a side effect of modern living. Some people can keep their anxiety under control and others seek treatment.

One of the problems that I find with anxiety is that it can multiply. One moment you feel uncomfortable speaking in front of a crowd, and the next not only won’t you do public speaking but you won’t do anything that involves getting up in front of any size audience.
such as driving, being around family, new places, the sound of angry voices, bridges, escalators, money issues, going to the gym, and even the weather just to name just a few. physical things like low blood sugar and not getting enough to sleep, or emotional reasons such as feeling the need to make everyone else happy or getting in trouble at work.
your body can respond in different ways with shortness of breath, heart palpitations, nausea, dizziness, numbness, feeling hot or cold (sometimes at the same time), and feeling like your throat is going to close. You want to escape as the feeling of doom envelops you.
No matter how mild the case, feeling anxious isn’t a pleasant feeling and it can stop you in your tracks. There are coping methods that we can use. Since we all have our ways of dealing with an anxiety attack, it isn’t farfetched to think that each sign has their own individualized way of stopping anxiety from progressing and getting in the way of life.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)
For some people, breathing and centering themselves is a good way to combat anxiety, but if you did those things it would only make your anxiety worse. As with most things, you need to take action when it comes to anxiety. Go to the gym and let your workout heal you.
If you can’t do that, do some kind of physical activity that will take your mind off the anxiety like swimming, sports, or hiking. Exercise burns away stress hormones that create anxiety symptoms. By focusing on the mechanics of moving your body, you should start to release your feelings of anxiousness.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

You know what? You don’t always have to present to other people as completely together and perfect. You tend to hide that part of you that isn’t the life of the party and super-fun. It’s good for you to show the various sides of your personality, and since conversation is so important to you, why not try talking out your anxiety?
Tell people why you’re feeling nervous and anxious and you’ll probably start to feel much better., not just the social butterfly side.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
You get anxious when you start to overthink things that you’ve done or said. The thing is, while you’re very sensitive to other people and their thoughts and feelings, most people aren’t. You’re probably worrying for nothing.
While affirmations don’t work for everyone, they can be very useful to get rid of some of the negativity you’re focusing on. Say to yourself: “I’m OK, this is just anxiety and I’ll get over it.” “I’m doing the best I can.” “I have a great life and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.” Your brain that was going into overdrive coming up with every misstep you made will start to chill and you’ll feel better.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
You’re a bit of a control freak and when things happen out of your control, you start to feel very anxious. It’s easy to say “just let it go” but it can be challenging to actually do so. One thing about anxiety is that it gets worse the more you try to fight it, so a good coping mechanism is to lean into it.
Find a place where you can be alone (I know, challenging for a Leo) and then go nuts. Scream, break stuff, punch a pillow, throw stuffed animals, jump, and dance around. You may feel silly but those feelings of silliness are combating your feelings of anxiety.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
You can be extremely critical of yourself and others, and the problem is all that negative thinking builds up and creates anxiety. The best thing you can do for anxiety is to be gentle with yourself and practice self-care.
Put on some of your favorite music and let yourself relax. Try talking it out with yourself in a gentle and loving way. You’ll never be perfect, so give yourself a break and try to be grateful for all that you have.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
You want to be liked by everybody, but this intense desire can get out of hand and cause you anxiety. Stop saying yes to every invitation because you can’t go to everything or you’ll burn out.
Make peace with the fact that not everybody is going to like you and the best thing you can do is to just be yourself, not some more acceptable version. You’ll still have a lot of friends but you won’t be the most popular person that ever lived, which is hugely anxiety-inducing.

When the world seems to be closing in on you and causes you anxiety. It’s the perfect time to expand your world and do something you’ve never done before or go someplace you’ve never traveled to. You crave change and newness, and it will help you to reboot emotionally and get rid of your feelings of anxiousness. Fight or flight, with you it’s definitely flight.

You’re not comfortable with emotions so you tend not to share yours. However, holding in all your feelings can lead to some big-time anxiety. You have people who love you so allow them to be there for you; tell them how you’re feeling and you’ll be surprised at how much better you’ll feel by letting it all out. You’d think that spending more time in your head would be the last thing to suggest for coping with stress, but you’d be wrong.
